How to Enable VNC Access on Your VPS

  1. Open your VPS: Log in at vmcontrol.linveo.com and locate the VPS in your dashboard.
  2. Click Manage: Click the blue Manage button next to the VPS to open its control panel.
  3. Go to Options: In the top nav (Overview, Media, Options, Network, Storage, Backups, Sharing), click Options.
  4. Select the VNC tab: Under Options, click the VNC tab (next to Rescue, Password, Settings).
  5. Enable VNC: Click Enable VNC Access to start a session. VNC lets you connect to the server as if sitting in front of it, useful for CD/DVD installs or when SSH is unavailable.
  6. Get connection details: Once active, note the IP, Port, and Password (click the eye icon to reveal it).
  7. Connect using either option:
    • Browser VNC: click the Browser VNC button for a quick in-browser popup session, no extra software needed.
    • Your own VNC client (TigerVNC, RealVNC, etc.): enter the IP, Port, and Password from step 6 to connect from a desktop app.
  8. Disable when done: Click Disable VNC Access to close the session.
